The only thing you need to set up is the PS1 Bios, which is not included for obvious reasons. We'll be discussing the GUI version here since it is user-friendly, and pretty much works well outside the box.
It comes with a QT-based GUI version and a no-GUI version. ePSXe 2.2.0 is available to all software users as a free download for Windows. DuckStation is a PSX emulator and a brilliant one at that. This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system on a laptop or desktop PC from console emulators without restrictions. This latest version of ePSXe has not been updated in a while, though the latest update did improve a number of features including support for many games which tended to crash and the MDEC coder has been redone. This program, though, will give you the opportunity to play your old PSX games directly on your Windows desktop. You can obtain the PSX Bios by using an action replay or by utilizing a gameshark. Though in order to be able to play these games you will require the PSX Bios which is only available if you are legally entitled to it. STEP 2: Once the bios folder is downloaded unzip the ‘SCPH1001.zip’ file.
If the link doesn’t work then visit and click on ‘Playstation Bios Files.zip’. EPSXe is a PS1 console emulator able to play discs issued for the original PlayStation system on your Windows Desktop. STEP 1: Download the bios files directly from this link: Playstation Bios Files.zip.
